Reese Family Wish List

Brynn-anything Tinkerbell!, little girl nail polish, things for her purse, bows, etc..., she is very much into carrying her purse around at all times and loves having her nails painted. Anything for making crafts, anything to glue on paper, stickers, water colors, etc....she loves to make things. Any cute little shirts, she wears 4T or 5T for some room to grow. Pajamas...DVDs of Backyardigans or other kids shows (our Doras are wearing out both the disc and our brains). And an easy thing to do would be to burn us a disc of your favorite kids songs, we only have one and again, losing brain cells here. :)

Meg- cute little shirts, leggings, etc...she wears 2T. She basically just follows Brynn around and plays with her stuff, so she'll be thrilled with stickers, little books, or stackable toys (like those little cups). Oh, and she loves those books that have musical buttons to push (she has a Baby Einstein one in her hand right now!). She loves dogs, so anything with dogs always brings squeals of delight. :)

Ann- Oh I don't know. I would love a couple new shirts (long or short sleeve) or light-weight sweaters from Old Navy or Target. I usually wear L or XL just depending (personal shoppers--love it!). I also thought it would be fun to get some Sonic cups (new ones of course) just to have for a downer day to make it feel like I made a Sonic run...I know that is weird but it would make me so happy. So if you can figure out how to get them here without holes, I would just do a happy dance! :)

Derran- any good books you think he would like, Old Navy/Target plain T-shirts/polo type shirts-L (preferably short sleeve if there are any available in this winter season), Taco Bueno Nacho Salad..... :)

Guacamole packets, Ranch packets, iTunes gift cards, chocolate....:)

We are blessed to have friends like yall. We are doing fine over here and most of those items are purely comfort items, we don't "need" anything per se. So we would be happy with just a bunch of Christmas cards and notes from yall!

Announcing Small Group Dates for the Summer!!!

In the comments section, please sign up for a date to host small group. I wanted to mention to everyone not to forget the use of Highland's Building if needed. The summer will be hot, so if you want to lead small group but don't think your home can handle it, just use the building! Ask me for more details if you need them...

We will be doing testimonies during the summer and then continuing in the fall. When you sign up to host, you are also signing up to give your testimonies (or story of your life), meal planning & childcare planning.

Next Small Group

Here is your homework assignment before the next small group...Think of a song (preferably secular), poem, verse, paragraph from a book, or whatever else you can think of where you have felt meaning/God's presence. (example - I have a Coldplay song in mind that is worshipful). We will continue the theme of "The Gospel" in a worship-type service. Please get your song/etc to me before Sunday night so I can put them all together. Don't feel obligated to bring something if you don't want to. Call me if you have any questions.

Landon's Surgery

I wanted to let all of you know that Landon is having an open surgery on his shoulder today starting around 11 am. He has already had 2 unsuccessful shoulder surgeries, so please be praying that this one will work!

ALSO, Small group will be this Sunday at the Spell's house from 6-8 pm. Check you email for what to bring.

Oh yeah, Ann is being induced on Monday! Yahoo! Let's pray for little Meg to be healthy and a good delivery for Ann.

I am just writing to report that Alice Anne made her debut
Wednesday, December 26th at 12:45 AM weighing in at 8 lbs., 13 oz and was 20 inches long with a head full of dark hair. Rachel and baby are both doing great, and so is proud big brother, Jackson! I am planning to go up to the hospital to visit this afternoon, so I'll post pictures when I get them!

Small Group, Sunday, Nov. 18th

Hello everyone! Hope your week is going well so far. We are meeting this week at the Sanders (instead of the Reeses') for Small Group--that's a change from the calendar schedule.

We will meet at 6:00 p.m. and their address is 2210 Republic Avenue. Let me know if you need directions.

Shelly is making Hamburger Pie, a delicious green bean, mashed potato, meat combination that is sure to satisfy! So maybe the rest of us could bring rolls, salad, CORN, drinks, dessert, anything else you think would go with this semi-Thanksgiving meal. As usual, leave a comment and let us know if you'll be coming and what you will bring.

Ellie will be there to provide childcare.
David is our teacher this month.

We had a great time last week at the Sheets house and thanks to a reminder from Kate, we realized that this week is our turn. Let's plan on 6:30 at the Walters' house (or maybe Rose Park weather permitting.) Post comments on your interest in having a park picnic. I think it would be great while the weather is nice, especially for those of us with active kids! We're open to whatever ya'll want to do! We'll be out of town this weekend, so we're going to keep it easy and say that we'll order pizzas. You guys can comment below to sign up to bring chips and dip, fruit salad, regular salad and dressing, drinks, desserts, and paper goods.

I am thinking this might work better than the mass emails that we send around. Let me know what yall think. I will try to get everyone set up as an administrator so we can all add to the blog when needed. I think this might make food signups, small group planning, and overall communication a little better.

I am thinking this would be best kept between us though. So let's not give out this blog to other people or link it...
